This angel is made of straw and wheat ears. His clothes are formed by the ears of wheat, luscious and beautiful. They create an image of a luxury dresses, which resembles the Ukrainian national clothes. Such a the clothes were worn by women on holidays, mainly on the wedding. The more luscious and luxurious the dress was, the more attractive the bride was. Nimbus resembles a wreath worn by a girl who was about to get married. It was made of flowers and ears of wheat which were skillfully interwoven in the wreath. Angels are the God's creations, the Ukrainians made them from clay, painted on houses, but most of all they liked to weave the straw, because this material was always available, and plastic. This artfully woven angel can be purchased in our store. JThe angel was created by the master Raisa Pavlenko.
