Creating designer throw pillows, the artist has gathered his inspiration from the woodcut. This is an ancient relief printing technique in printmaking that is more than 1 thousand years old. The artist has used traditional Ukrainian vybiika hand printing technique interpreted in the modern way. The artist has used special linoleum instead of wood to create patterns. After that these patterns are covered with print paint by hands of the craftsman and printed on the textile pieces with an old printing press.
